MAA INDIA RETREAT
Your time-out in South India

DEEP RELAXATION, INTENSIVE PRACTICE, AND UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS IN AN INSPIRING ENVIRONMENT.

Februar 2025

A retreat for body, mind, and heart!

This place offers an authentic environment and radiates a unique energy that creates ideal conditions for both external and internal journeys.

Sometimes you have to withdraw in order to find yourself again.

It is good for all of us to occasionally break out of our everyday lives and discover a completely unknown, yet fascinating world. We expand our own boundaries, allow fresh ideas, learn from another culture, switch off and recharge our batteries. It is the time to simply be – to feel the sun, the wind and the freedom.

FAQ – QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

As a German citizen, you need a visa to enter India. We recommend applying for a 30-day e-visa (tourist visa) through the official portal indianvisaonline.gov.in. The cost is approximately €50. Please note that you can apply no earlier than about 2 months before your trip.

Certainly, we can accommodate you if you arrive a few days early. For departure, we will need to check if our accommodation still has availability. Alternatively, there are many other hotels. Additionally, if desired, there is the option to continue traveling to Goa with the same group after the retreat.
In general, we recommend staying for at least two weeks, as travel times can be longer due to flight schedules. A stopover in Mumbai is also possible.

The local currency is the Indian Rupee (INR). You can exchange money on-site at currency exchange offices and banks. It is also possible to withdraw cash from ATMs using an international credit or debit card.

During this time, it is quite warm in South India, but it can get a bit cooler in the mornings and evenings, especially when traveling by bike or tuk-tuk. So, feel free to bring something comfortable for yoga and light, summery clothing for the day. The atmosphere at the beach is very relaxed, but in the city, it’s important to dress respectfully and cover your knees and shoulders. Long skirts and light shawls work well for this.

If you want to bring your own mat, feel free to do so; otherwise, you can buy one very cheaply in the city. Alternatively, there are some yoga mats available at the accommodation, but they are limited.

This retreat is suitable for all levels. We will dive a little deeper into yoga, allowing both beginners and experienced yogis to take something away from it.

You will be able to reach us at any time via WhatsApp or Telegram. We are also happy to assist you in purchasing a local SIM card so you can make calls and use the internet.
